New portrait of GMB by Andrew Ward,
part of the Bardic Voyage Project.
Shoals of herring, which once were abundant in our seas, 
were the inspiration for constructing this portrait.

The work can be seen at The Royal Highland Hotel, Inverness,

Bardic Voyage Project

The Bardic Voyage Project was started in 2005 in collaboration with Caledonian Macbrayne Ltd. It will be completed by 2007 when 16 large portraits (2.3m X 1.6m) of Scottish bards, many local to the western Isles, will be installed on the Calmac Ferryboats and Terminals.

The project is financed through the sale of the portraits at £6,000.
Each painting, (oil on canvas) is sealed inside a Plexiglas frame.
 

A limited edition of 100 signed and numbered Giclee prints on 315gm paper, size A4, is available at £380.
